Violence: Police impose three-day curfew on Bayelsa State

The Nigeria Police have imposed a three-day curfew on Bayelsa State in a bid to curb the violence that has broken out following the Supreme Court judgement nullifying David Lyon’s election as governor on Thursday. Since the announcement was made on Thursday a number of violent incidences have taken place across the state mainly by those unhappy with the judgement. During the violent acts, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Yenagoa, the state capital was burnt while Radio Bayelsa was also attacked. The curfew is to run from 8pm…
