CAGS, Iperu 60th anniversary begins Monday

All is set for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.

Programmes announced by the anniversary committee include visits to dignitaries in Iperu, launch of magazine, sports competition, career talk and thanksgiving service.

Old students of the institutions and other well-wishers are set to participate in the various activities according to the Chairman of the committee, Dr Femi Ariyo.

“The anniversary is a celebration of the accomplishments of our modest institution and contribution to educational development in our country.

“We look back with pride our days in Apollo Grams and we are set to celebrate and acknowledge the founders, teachers and all those who have contributed to the continued existence of our alma mater.”

The anniversary will kick off on Monday, January 20 with a motorcade round the town and medical outreach for the teachers.

On Tuesday, January 21, courtesy visits will be paid to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Sir Kesington Adebutu, the Odole Oodua at their Iperu home, Royal visit to the Royal fathers at their palace and visit to motherless babies home in the town.

Day three, Wednesday, January 22 will feature Personality profile, literary and cultural activities, while a novelty football match ( old student vs teachers) and annual school inter house competition will hold on Thursday, January 23

Other activities are Career talk and jumat service at Iperu central mosque on Friday, January 24, Speech, recitation and launching of anniversary magazine ( Apollo@Diamond), presentation of awards and Prize giving ceremony on Saturday, January 25.

The  anniversary will be rounded off with a thanksgiving service at the  C.A.C, Ona Igbala, Yidi road, Iperu.
